New Trico site being developed
Our original website was created on March 8, 2000, and was nothing a fifth-grader couldn't have slapped together...But as I taught myself MS-Front Page and looked at other sites and took notes on their design, the site went from the junior-high level to at least a solid-looking Mom-and-Pop type of website...We have over 4000 pages on the current site...
Now, with the assistance of Matt Danner from Gabelsville, we are overhauling the entire site and redesigning it...
Reasons:
1) give it a more professional look
2) make it a lot easier to navigate
3) to add a lot more information, pictures, videos and history
This is a link to our new home page, still under construction, as we finalize what we want to put on our home page:
http://gabelsvilleowls.com/tricounty/index.htm
This is a link to show what our website and newspaper articles will look like on the new site:
http://gabelsvilleowls.com/tricounty/test.htm
Two links to show what the calendar schedule will look like for 2007 and for the League History sections:
http://www.tricountyleague.com/2006_schedule/sample_history_page_diff_location.htm
above link stipulates what field the game was played on when there was a venue change...
http://www.tricountyleague.com/sample_league_history_7.htm
One more link to show what the player profiles will look like, and our plan as of now is do a player profile on EVERY player who ever played in our league, thus the Career Stats pages will be reduced to landing pages where there will only be a list of names to click on to see their profiles and career numbers...
http://gabelsvilleowls.com/tricounty/playerprofilehitting.htm
Our goal for the new website also includes adding as many pictures as is humanly possible for our League History section, as many newspaper articles about our league, video clips, stat sheets, whatever we can find...But we need help from our former players and managers...
So I am calling out to all our former players and managers to leave their contact info here (email address) or send it to Steve through the website...We would like to get as much player information for your profiles as possible...And anyone who has scrapbooks, pictures, newspaper articles/clippings, we would like to get copies to get them on the new website...I estimate there will be well over 10,000 pages on the new site by the time we get it near completion...
If you run into former players or are in contact with former players, tell them to visit this blog or the website and get involved with making our league history section an informative and picturesque one...
