Jared Trout tosses no-no, Gabelsville sweeps Limeport...

Jared Trout tossed a no-hitter in Game 2 of the best-of-5 semifinals as the Owls won 1-0 for the second consecutive day over Limeport to take a 2-0 series lead...Trout, a former Oakland Athletics' farmhand who pitched for the Vancouver Canadians in 2003 and the Kane County Cougars in 2004-05 in the Oakland system, got some great defensive plays from A.J. Bohn and Jon Kalejta to get the no-no...He walked one batter in the game...Scott Stewart was the tough-luck losing pitcher, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 10 for the Bulls...

In Game 3, Zeb Engle completed the sweep for the owls with a 3-0 win, as Limeport became the first team in Trico history to be shut out in all 3 games of a best-of-5 series...For more info on Game 3 and the Owls/Bulls semifinals series, there is a website article here:
