Cabot outduels Boylan

Jeremy Cabot tossed a 3-hit shutout to lead Gabelsville over Coplay 2-0 in a battle of division leaders...Gary Hessler hit the first Owls' HR (an opposite-field shot) since the league went to wooden bats in 2006... Boylan allowed just 4 hits in the loss...

In other action, Jordan Creek defeated ICC 8-3 to pull within 1/2 a game of the #6 seed and Limeport dismantled Quakertown 16-0...

Jordan Creek inching towards #6 spot

The Gators got two runs in the bottom of the seventh to edge the ICC Pirates 6-5 as they tie ICC in the win column and now trail the 6th-seeded Pirates by 1 1/2 games with another big one on tap between these two at Bethlehem Township on Saturday...

In other action on Friday, Coplay edges Quakertown 7-4...

Owls grind out win over Yankees

In WED's Trico action, Gabelsville defeated the Yankees 4-1, the Fleetwings beat ICC 6-3 and Limeport shut out Cetronia 2-0, as Ryan Gerber got the CG win as he was throwing 89 to 92 mph the entire game , hitting 92 in the 7th inning with at least 2 scouts in attendance...

Nate Buttenfield ends Gabelsville's 11-game win streak

Depending on how the "Nate Buttenfield Story" ends, this could be a script right out of Hollywood...The 6-foot-7 righty was throwing in front of 5 scouts with radar guns at Limeport Stadium, consistently throwing 92 mph and hitting 94 several times as he got the win in a 5-inning stint (not allowing a run, striking out 7 and walking none) as the Bulls snapped the Owls' 11-game winning streak, 3-2...

In other action, Brian Boylan struck out 12 as the Coplay Reds downed the ICC Pirates 5-2 and the Fleetwings rallied for 5 runs in the top of the seventh to give the Northern Yankees a very tough 5-4 loss. Charlie Torres was 3-for-3 for Woodlawn.

Jeremy Cabot got the win and Shawn Betz went 2-for-3 to lead the Owls to a 5-1 victory over Jordan Creek on Friday...

Coplay improved to 12-1 with a 9-5 win over the Northern Yankees as Jeremy Faust went 3-for-3, Caleb Calarco went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI, Jon Venarchick went 2-for-3 and Mike Bortz went 2-for-4...For the Yankees, Adam Sandt was 3-for-4, George Kressley was 2-for-4 and Marshall Garger was 2-for-3...

Robbie Williams twirled a 6-hit shutout to lead the ICC Pirates to a 6-0 win over Limeport, while Jedi Gonzalez tossed a 5-hit shutout as Jordan Creek edged Cetronia 1-0, and Caleb Calarco threw a 2-hit shutout to lead Coplay over Pennridge 6-0 in Wednesday's action...

Boylan leads Coplay to 6-0 win

Brian Boylan struck out the first five batters he faced and had a perfect game for 4 2/3 innings and went 2-for-3 at the plate (finishing with 11 K's on the hill in a CG 3-hitter) to lead the Coplay Reds to a 6-0 victory over Quakertown on Sunday...

Pennridge leads the league in tough 1-run losses with 5 after two more heart-breaking losses on Sunday, 6-5 to the Northern Yankees and 5-4 to Jordan Creek...

Swatsky's blast lifts Woodlawn

Ben Swatsky blasted his 3rd home run of the season, a 2-run shot in the sixth inning and Scott Bolasky made it stand up, stranding 9 Coplay baserunners in a 3-2 win for the Fleetwings, knocking the Reds from the ranks of the unbeaten and handing Brandon Leslie just his 5th career loss (in 8 years) as Leslie now sports a career record of 21-5 with 10 saves...

Bill Hezel tossed a 5-inning no-hitter with 7 K's as Limeport steamrolled Quakertown 12-0 at Limeport Stadium Sunday afternoon...

Dave Shoemaker was 3-for-3 with 3 doubles and 3 RBI to lead the Bulls, who improve to 6-4 on the season...

Double trouble

The Fleetwings' laced 6 doubles on Saturday (Ben Swatsky had 3 of them) en route to a 9-3 win over the ICC Pirates...

In other action, Limeport ended a 4-game losing streak, beating Cetronia 5-2 and Coplay remained unbeaten with a 6-1 win over Jordan Creek...

A steady rain wiped out a marquee pitching matchup in Gabelsville between the Owls' Shawn Betz and the Yankees' Matt Reppert on Friday...

Player pics and profiles have been posted for the Yankees and the Gabelsville pics will be posted as soon as I get them from Matt Danner...

With thunderstorms in the forecast this weekend, we may not get any games in the next 2 days...

Also, the 2002 season is done (in the History section), as is August of 2001 and the scores have been posted for the 1999 season...
